"A Tale of Two Forests" is a holographic sound experience designed for headphones. A mixture of ethereal soundscapes, audio holograms, dub fairytales, sound collage, and sonic cartoons,  It tells the tale of a journey between two forests, the temperate forests of the Uk and Ireland and the tropical forests of the South American Amazon. An anthology of 15 years of 3D sound installations a lot of the tracks here were originally 3D sound art exhibitions and immersive theatre performances. There are many "Sonic easter eggs" hidden within this album - waiting to be discovered. The album was funded by the Irish Arts Council, as part of the Covid Award via their Music Department.

about

Otherworld. This was adapted from an installation for the Hastings Storytelling Festival. The Story was written by Augustine Leudar and read and Adapted by Rosanna Lowe.

The premise for Otherworld is that the doors to the multidimensional universe have been closed and humans are trapped in our one materialistic universe, however, the negativity produced by humans is still polluting the multiverse. In response to this Denizens and entities from across the multiverse open a door into our reality to see what is happening in our small isolated chaotic world.
Otherworld was inspired by numerous myths stretching back to Ancient Babylonia and their tales of Owls, snakes, and Lilith to legends still alive today such as the Knuckers: waterhole serpents and dragons who are also well guardians and popular myths in the region of Sussex. Several other entities make an appearance too. The legend of the well keeper failing to tend to the well is a theme found in several Celtic legends including the Welsh myth Cantre'r Gwaelod in which the neglect of a well maiden to tend the well caused the flood, here we focus on a version of the legend which places the blame on an errant local princeling. The myth is all the more pertinent to the Hastings area as there is a sunken neolithic forest just nearby whose tree trunks can still be seen at low tide today. It is in this forest that part of our story is set and it perhaps serves as a relevant metaphor to contemporary concerns seeing as they are the direct result of neolithic farming practices
